JOB PURPOSE
As an Operations Technician, your primary purpose is to assist in inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance of equipment or production units. This role plays a key part in supporting smooth and efficient daily operations on the production floor by troubleshooting, setting up machines, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
YOUR JOB
As an Operations Technician, you will be expected to:
- Set up and operate various types of machine tools.
- Troubleshoot material loading systems, molding machines, and auxiliary equipment.
- Know and comply with all safety rules.
- Select appropriate tools for different materials, equipment, and conditions.
- Construct simple mechanical fixtures to support manufacturing processes.
- Use computer systems to enter and track production-related issues.
- Diagnose simple problems, determine corrective actions, and implement them.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with team members and supervisors.
- Keep your work area and adjacent spaces clean and organized.
- Troubleshoot automation and demolding robots.
- Update process books directly from the machines.
- Handle plastic injection processing for materials like PP and HDPE.
- Perform color changes and order changes on plastic injection machines.
- Perform other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education:
-
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience:
-
At least 1 year of related experience and/or training.
Skills and Abilities:
-
Understanding of machine tools and basic mechanical fixtures.

Ability to troubleshoot equipment and automation systems.

Basic computer literacy for production data entry.

Clear verbal and written communication.
-
Ability to perform basic maintenance and follow safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to stand, climb, bend continuously; occasional kneeling, stooping, and crawling.

Lift up to 25 lbs; manually move palletized crates up to 450 lbs using a pallet jack; push/pull material hoppers up to 150 lbs.

Must have good hand-eye coordination and be able to inspect machinery both visually and audibly.
Work Environment:

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high areas, loud environments.

Required to wear PPE including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
