JOB PURPOSE

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for executing operational tasks within the Accounts Payable function of the Shared Services Center. The role involves handling financial transactions related to payables, supporting process standardization, and participating in the transition of tasks from local entities.

 

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

  • Timely and compliant execution of accounts payable processes in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Processing invoices, credit notes, and bank statements, including registration, posting, and archiving.
  • Reconciling accounts payable and accrual balances.
  • Analyzing and resolving discrepancies related to invoiced products and services.
  • Verifying and executing payments.
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with vendors and internal business units regarding settlements.
  • Participating in the reporting process for the Accounts Payable Department.
  • Performing additional tasks related to settlements and participating in process improvement projects within the AP Department.
  • Collaborating with auditors and participating in internal and external audits.
  • Responsible for regularly updating process documentation and implementing organizational changes.
  • Review and analysis of the GRNI account (Goods Received Not Invoiced) to resolve outstanding items and ensure alignment between purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices.
  • Responsibility for verifying and processing employee business expenses in accordance with the company’s expense policy.
  • Acting as a backup for administrative and operational tasks during team members’ absences to ensure business continuity and support ongoing processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Eexperience in a multinational company, ideally with proven 2-3 years of working experience as accounts payable clerk (or similar)
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Proficiency in English is required. French or Spanish is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (IFS preferably) and Microsoft Excel.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Open mind for changes and transformations
